Fees and FAQ's
What does counselling cost?
My regular rate is $250 per hour.
I also offer a sliding scale because I want counselling to be more accessible when possible. Reduced-fee spaces are limited and based on availability, so please feel free to ask if cost is a barrier.
Do you direct bill?
I do not currently direct bill. You will receive a receipt after each session that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Because plans vary, I recommend checking with your provider in advance to confirm whether counselling is covered under your benefits.
Do you offer virtual or in-person counselling?
I offer virtual sessions.
My goal is to make counselling feel as practical and accessible as possible while still creating a space where you can slow down and focus on yourself.
How long are sessions?
I offer both 60-minute and 90-minute counselling sessions.
A 60-minute session works well for most individual counselling, while a 90-minute session can be helpful when you want more time to work through something in depth, for couples counselling, or when it feels difficult to get settled and do meaningful work within a shorter session.
We can decide together what length makes the most sense for you.
How often will we meet?
There is no one schedule that works for everyone. Some clients prefer weekly sessions, while others find biweekly or less frequent appointments work better for their needs, schedules, or budget. We can decide together what makes sense for you.
Do I need an ADHD diagnosis to work with you?
No. You do not need a formal diagnosis to talk about ADHD, executive functioning, emotional regulation, overwhelm, masking, or questions you may have about neurodivergence. Counselling can also be a place to better understand your experiences whether or not you decide to pursue a formal assessment.
Can faith be part of counselling?
Absolutely, if you want it to be. For Muslim clients, we can integrate an Islamic perspective into counselling in a way that feels meaningful to you. Faith, culture, family, and community can all shape how we experience our challenges and how we understand healing. You decide how much or how little faith becomes part of our work together.
Do I have to be Muslim, neurodivergent, a parent, or an educator to work with you?
Not at all! I work with all adults and couples navigating stress, relationships, identity, life transitions, overwhelm, and other life experiences.
What if I’m not sure whether you’re the right counsellor for me?
That’s completely okay. Finding the right fit matters. You’re welcome to reach out with questions or book a consultation so we can talk briefly about what is bringing you to counselling and whether working together feels like a good fit.
